ASSISTANCE LEAGUE® OF GARDEN GROVE PRESENTS CHECK TO GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE’S GUARDIAN SCHOLAR PROGRAM

Assistance League president, Ruth Ann Laws, and Philanthropic Committee members Sybilla London and Geri Ogle presented a check for $5,000 to Natalie Timpson, Director of EOPS/CARE/Next Up/Guardian Scholars at Golden West College.

The Golden West Guardian Scholars Program provides a range of services for students that are former and current foster youth wards of the court.  Although the state offers some support to these students they often are often lacking in sufficient funds for basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing and transportation, The Assistance League of Garden Grove strives to help the students in these areas.
